Ghana might be one of the smallest groups, but I’m happy to see Ghana’s flag raised with such a smile. It shows how much he loves his country Ghana and willing to take it far.

From a one room home to his countries hero. Akwasi who lived in a single room with his family somewhere in Kumasi till the age of 8 and had never seen a white before until the time he followed his mum to Netherlands, was able to overcome many obstacles in his life to get to where he is today. What an inspiration!

He is not just an athlete but also an entrepreneur and a motivational speaker.

Giving up was an option, but being patient and persistent were the chosen tools that nurtured the champion from within”, according to Akwasi Frimpong.

Personally, you are an inspiration to me and I hope kids in Ghana will look up to you and never back out of their dreams. We don’t need to lose hope as long as we have life.

We can do all things when we work hard, persist, be patient and still have hope to carry through!!

All the best Akwasi Frimpong, Ghana wishes you all the luck in the world. Bring the Gold medal to Ghana. Cocoa from Ghana ampa!
